Today we were busy filming a pilot for what is going to be a great British classic.

Phantom of the Opera

Above shows the application of the bald cap.

I was asked if I could design the makeup for Phatom of the Opera for a york Theatre group, a novel by French writer Gaston Leroux.

I had to make bald caps for the main character Erik 'The Phantom' the other makeup was quite straight forward 'chorus makeup' for theatre

Yak hair was applied using Spirit Gum Matte.

The aging effects had to be big and bold to accomodate the theatre lights and the distance of the audience.
